Established in 2003, Ken Parke Planning Consultants Ltd is one of the most prominent Town Planning Consultancy practices on the south coast, with projects and influence nationwide. The consultancy’s clients vary enormously, from property developers, land owners, affordable housing providers and pension fund managers to private individuals, householders and lobby and interest groups.
The logo design combines two concepts associated with the planning process - the notion of “jumping through hoops” that frequently accompanies planning applications, alongside the traffic light sequence from red to green light
Perception were initially approached to create a distinctive logo for the practice. The concepts of “jumping through hoops” and “greenlighting” occurred frequently during initial creative discussions with the client, feeding ultimately into the finished design. For a consultancy that has subsequently earned an enviable reputation for greenlighting projects previously rejected elsewhere, the logo succinctly articulates the idea of smooth progress through the planning procedure.
Based on the three hoops from the logo concept, a modular advertising template was developed, enabling the client to showcase a cross-section of recent greenlighted projects in different editions of local property publications
